MyFootballClub Feedback Workshop
GDSFA registrars are invited to a feedback workshop session at Melita Stadium on Wednesday 30/5, commencing at 7:00pm. This is your chance to meet with FFA personnel and provide your constructive feedback on how MFC worked (or didn't) for you for the 2012 season. Just as importantly, it is a chance to discuss future requirements and/or modifications to the system.
There is no need to 'register' for the workshop, but you are very much encouraged to attend. FFA is very keen to make this a tool that matches the needs of its users.

Minor Bylaw Correction
During March 2012, the GDSFA Bylaws were modified to reflect changes to Roo Ball (now Small Sided Football), clarification of substitution/interchange in Premier League and the introduction of Super League. The consequent 'Version 16' was distributed to clubs and uploaded to this website. One of our diligent clubs brought to our attention that there had been an error made in relation to the number of substitutes allowed in Premier League First Grade matches and this has now been corrected. 'Version 17', correctly stating that five (5) substitutions are allowed, has now been uploaded.

Sponsorship Opportunities
The GDSFA is an Association of some 13,000 amateur players and the owner of the NSW Men's Premier League club (the Parramatta FC Eagles) and the NSW Women's Super League club (the Parramatta FC Ladyhawks).
Whether your core business is trade-related, corporate, a service industry, an importer or simply a football fan, the GDSFA can provide exposure for you and your business in several levels of football to suit your target audience.
Once you find yourself on board with the GDSFA, we're sure you'll ask yourself "Why didn't I do this before?". Have a look through the GDSFA's Sponsorship Outline and, if it meets your needs (or you would like to discuss an alternative), contact the Chairman, Lou Mantzos, or General Manager, Michael Briggs.

Western Sydney Club Approved for A-League in 2012/13
Football Federation Australia (FFA) has today announced how football fans can register their interest in the new club that will represent Western Sydney in the Hyundai A-League 2012/13 season.
Fans are now invited to register their interest online www.footballaustralia.com.au (http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/newsydneyclubinterest).
By registering fans will be first to hear about club news, updates and football community forums.
From day one of its existence the new club will have a core focus on community engagement. The community will have a say in the culture, colours, name and logo of the new club and collectively will explore a model that would allow for community ownership.
“This is the start of a process that’s about listening to football people and engaging with the community,” said Head of A-League Lyall Gorman. “What we learn will guide and develop the core foundations of this new Sydney club.
“Starting today new fans will be able to register their interest and share their thoughts and ideas on our digital networks and from next week a number of stakeholder and fan engagement forums will begin covering large sections of Sydney’s greater western suburbs.”
Fans are also invited to join the conversation on Facebook and Twitter (@newsydneyclub)

iResults for 2012
Calling all Clubs...we've activated what's necessary for you to all upload your own match results to the web for season 2012, with a simple login (just like the old days with 'iSport', if you're old enough to remember). Once both clubs associated with a given match have uploaded the same results, they are accepted automatically and premiershiop tables (if applicable) are updated.
Please have your Competition Secretary (or whoever is responsible for notifying of match results) to email Howard Groom with a username and password (minimum 6 characters, letters/numerals) of his/her choice and he'll set you up and provide simple instructions. As a starting point, we recommend that one person from each club be set up, but there's no real reason why two or more can't.

Commencing in 1972, the Football NSW Champion of Champions tournament is one of the most prestigious tournaments in the footballing calendar, with Division 1 champions from each Association (currently aged 11 years and older) pitted against each other in a battle for supremacy. Normally, the League Winner (or 'Minor Premier') from each age group's Division 1 competition is invited to represent the GDSFA. Where a particular age group gazetted in the CofC tournament does not exist in the Association, a composite team is normally formed from eligible players who express an interest in playing. In addition, the tradition is for the Club whose Men's Premier League First Division team finishes League Winners is invited to participate in the 'All Age Men' category.
