MESSAGE FROM THE CEO, 13 March 2017

13 March, 2017

 Message from the CEO

Competitions for 2017

 FEMALE FOOTBALL

Due to the establishment of the Hills Association, our priority was to bring to you the best competitions possible, in order that players, coaches, officials and parents have a satisfying year playing football.

In identifying the level of participation and strength within our female footballers, having this partnership with Blacktown Association over the next 3 years will see strong competitions and allow both our Associations the opportunity to build our female numbers and quality into the future. The overwhelming feedback has been very positive.

PREMIER LEAGUE FOOTBALL

The establishment of the new Association has had a major impact on the numbers and quality of this competition. To ensure we provide a strong competition for our players in 2017 we have agreed with Bankstown Association to run a joint competition. 6 clubs from Bankstown and 6 of our own will fight it out for the Mitre Platinum League 2 Cup. In talking with our clubs they are very happy we are providing strong competition for their players.

MINI ROOS AND JUNIOR FOOTBALL

We have just finished our grading’s for the Association in these age groups and will give them back to our clubs for review. We are very happy with the strength in numbers from the clubs and so this creates multiple divisions of age groups ensuring satisfying competitions for all.

Subject to the review by clubs it is our intention to have draws published by the end of the week.

SENIOR FOOTBALL

Senior football grading has been completed and will be going out to clubs for review.

Subject to the review by clubs it is our intention to have draws published by the end of the week.

ZERO TOLERANCE

This year as per our strategic plan, the Association is very committed to ensuring your game day experience is the best it can be. While there will always be unruly behaviour from a minority of people from players to spectators we are very committed to minimising this behaviour for the benefit of the many.

This is the message we are sending out to everyone.

From the Board and staff at the Granville & District Soccer Football Association we wish you all a great year.
