Premier League Round 9 Match of the Round

Parramatta City far too good at Bathurst St to remain top of the table.
Greystanes were subjected to their third loss in a row, this time to Parramatta City as the visitors did it easy on a cold & windy night at Greystanes.
The visitors certainly made their intention known from the kick off and the results were immediate. A dominant first half performance saw the visitors up 1 – 2 which flattered the home side who got their goal just before half time courtesy of a miss-guided back pass that was tapped over the ‘keeper.
The second half was a repeat of the first as Parramatta made 2 changes off the bench but didn’t miss a beat as the chances came thick and fast, converting their third, then fourth in quick succession which took the wind out of Greystanes. A 10 min sin bin to the Parramatta holding mid-fielder didn’t seem to concern the visitors as they scored a fifth before player parity was restored.
A great performance all over the park from the Parramatta City outfit that saw wonderful combinations and positive football being played.
The visitors took their foot off the pedal in the last 15 – 20 minutes, rotating their bench as they cruised to a 1 – 5 win. Parramatta had multiple chances during the game and could have easily had a double figures result but the home team’s ‘keeper put in a herculean performance.
Another fine performance by the leaders as the team song resonated loudly across the Bathurst St grounds.
